Q: What kind of content do you offer?
The products and services offered on Crows are digital and downloadable. That includes ebooks, audiobooks, web novels and exclusive digital extras related to my content.
Q: Are your content copyrighted or trademarked?
Yes, all of my content are copyrighted.
Q: Can I resell or redistribute your content?
Short answer is no. However, I am open to collaboration. Please reach out to me by filling in the contact form below, and let me know how you will be using the content.

Web Novels
Q: What is a web novel?
Web novels are digital versions of books similar to ebooks, however you read web novels directly on platforms like Crows. There is nothing to download and access to stories are available immediately.
Q: How does your web novels work?
Stories on Crows are available in two formats: free-to-read and pay-to-read. Free stories are exactly what they sound like—no charge, just pure, bingeable storytelling. Pay-to-read stories start with a few free chapters so you can test the waters, thereafter a one-time purchase or membership subscription is needed to unlock the rest. Once purchased, you get the completed story with no delays.
Q: Do I have to pay per chapter?
Not right now. At the moment, all pay-to-read stories are one-time or membership purchases, giving you access to the novel. That may change in the future to a pay-per-chapter model, but if that happens, you’ll get plenty of notice before anything changes.
Q: Will I have to wait for updates after paying?
When you unlock a premium story, you get access to the completed story. There’s no drip-feed chapters or pay-to-read chapters.
Q: How do I read your web novels?
Web novels can be read on Crows, my Substack publication and on my Patreon. However, premium stories can only be unlocked on either my website or Patreon.
Q: How do I listen to the audiobooks?
Audiobooks can be listened to via apps like Apple music, YouTube music, Spotify, Castbox, your favorite podcast app or audio player or any app or player that utilizes a RSS feed. The audio player on Crows is designed to allow for an uninterrupted and seemless listening experience while you are going about your day. Please note that not every story will have an audiobook. Producing narrated content is quite expensive and time consuming.
Digital & Downloadable Content
Q: What is the difference between digital content and downloadable content?
The content consumed on the Crows website is considered digital content. There is nothing to download and access to the content are available immediately. My web novels are a form of digital content.
Ebooks, audiobooks and music albums, are downloadable content that is unlocked by subscribing to a membership, or by purchasing the single story. These are electronic files that can be downloaded and enjoyed on your favorite podcast app (via the RSS feed), e-reader app or audio player.
Q: How many times can I download my unlocked content?
To prevent abuse of downloadable content, downloads are limited to one (1) ebook and one (1) audiobook per qualifying purchase. I recommend that you download all available files upon gaining access immediately and storing them in a cloud service like Google Drive, Drop Box or any other save location where you can easily access them across devices.
Q: Where do I find the links to download my content?
Download links can be found in your order confirmation email and it’s also available from your account profile. Please login to your account, navigate to the “orders” tab to view your order history or navigate to the “downloads” tab, to view your downloadable content.
Tech & Compatibility
Q: What formats are your ebooks and audiobooks in?
Ebooks are available in EPUB formats. Audiobooks are available in mp4a or wav files and can be streamed via your favorite podcast app or audio player that support a RSS feed.
Q: Will your files work on my device?
My ebooks and audiobooks are compatible with most modern e-reader and audio devices. Please ensure that your device or app that you will be using to read or listen to the stories, are compatible with my formats. Crows cannot be held responsible for compatibility issues.
Q: Do I need specific apps or programs to read your ebooks?
To enhance your reading experience of the downloadable ebooks, I highly recommend to open and read your ebook on an e-reader device or e-reader app that utilizes the epub format. Some of my favorite e-reader apps are Kindle, Google Books and Pocketbook.
Memberships & Payments
Q: What does your membership model include?
I offer multiple membership tiers that will give you access to a variety of content on my website. Each membership tier unlock various perks as noted on the benefits section of the membership and grants access to the membership content on the members only shop.
Q: What is the Codex Collection?
The Codex Collection is an all-access membership level that unlocks all the content on my website for a monthly recurring fee.
Q: What is the Free-To-Read Collection?
This is content that is available to read for free. There’s no additional charges or recurring monthly fees.
Q: What is the Single Purchase Membership?
This membership are for those that wish to enjoy the story without a monthly commitment. A single purchase is needed to unlock a single story on Crows and gain access to the downloadable ebook in the members only shop section. There’s no recurring monthly fees or additional charges.
Q: How do I pay my membership?
I currently accept most major credit/debit cards and PayPal. All transactions are encrypted and secure through trusted third-party processors. We automatically deduct the monthly membership fees on the stipulated date. If your membership includes a free trail, the payment will be deducted at the end of your free trail. This will also be an indicator of next months due date.
Q: Can I cancel my membership?
Yes, memberships are flexible. You can cancel whenever you want.
Q: How do I cancel my membership?
You can manage your memberships by visiting your account in the members corner. There you will find your orders, download access, membership access and general account information. If you struggle to cancel your membership, send us a message and we will cancel it for you. Please clearly state in the message that you wish for us to perform the cancelation on your behalf.
Q: What happens once I cancel my membership?
Once your membership is cancelled, your access to premium content ends on the last day of your membership plan. To access the premium content again, a new membership will need to be entered or a single purchase needs to be made. Please ensure that you download all available files before canceling, once your last day as a member arrives, you will lose access to the downloadable content and relevant perks.
Q: What happens if my payment fails?
If your membership payment doesn’t go through—wrong info, expired card, space goblins—Crows will automatically attempt to deduct the fees again within a couple of days, and your access to paid/premium content will be locked. You’ll need to re-subscribe to get it back. It’s your responsibility to make sure your payment details are current and correct.
Q: Can I refund my membership?
Unfortunately not. You can cancel your subscription at any time and you will have access to premium content upto the last day of your chosen membership plan. Thereafter a new membership will need to be bought to access the content again.
Rewards Program & Wallet
Q: What is the rewards program and wallet?
Your support directly influences my ability to keep creating content. Therefore I want to reward my most loyal readers and shoppers for supporting my work by offering a cashback program.
Cashback are automatically applied to your store account as credit when you complete certain actions like purchasing content, sharing stories to your social media, following and liking my social media pages, signing up to my newsletter, reviewing a purchased story or reffering family and friends to Crows. Basically, being awesome gets you perks and It’s my way of saying thank you.
Q: How does referrals work?
Refer someone new to the website and when they make their first purchase, you’ll get cashback as a thank-you. It’s a great way to support the stories you love and help your friends find their next obsession.
Q: Where do I find my referral link?
Login to your account. Visit the “My Account” page, look for the “My Wallet” tab, there you will find your wallet balance, the option to top up your wallet, and the referrals tab. Once you click on the referrals tab you will be show your referral link, below it you can view how many visitors you referred to the Crows website, how many of your referrals signed up to Crows, and your cashback earnings for each of your referrals.
Q: How do I earn rewards for referring someone to the website?
For every referral you will earn R5 in cashback if your referral spend R100 or more on the Crows website. The monies will be paid into your wallet automatically, and a notice will be emailed to you. There is no limit on how many people you can refer, and you will earn cashback for each qualifying referral. Who knows, I might throw some extra rewards your way for becoming a super fan and supporter of my stories.
Please note: To earn the cashback, your referral link must be used. If the person complete an action without using your referral link, you will not receive the cashback rewards. This is because I will have no way to confirm the legitimacy of the referral. Unfortunately I can’t go by word of mouth.
Q: Are there any other way to earn rewards?
Yes. I have a few more ways for you to earn rewards on Crows.
- Your first reward will hit your wallet when you signup to a Crows membership. This can either be the free membership or the paid Codex subscription. You will also receive this reward when you create your online account with us. The monies will be deposited to your Crows wallet automatically. This reward will only be issued once.
- If you unlock a story through a single purchase or membership subscription, and you leave a nice review on the shop page and web novel version of the story, you will earn cashback for your feedback. The monies will be deposited to your wallet right after.
- Follow me and Crows on social media. I regularly host giveaways, raffles and competitions that include free store credits and other rewards that can be earned by participating and sharing the offers.
Q: Where can I track my rewards?
Login to your account, navigate to the “My Wallet” tab. There you’ll find a personal rewards dashboard to keep tabs on your earnings, bonuses, and referrals. You’ll be able to see what you’ve earned and what actions you can take next to boost your rewards.
Q: Can I withdraw or gift the monies in my wallet?
No. The cashback can only be spend on the Crows website. This is my way of saying thank you for supporting my work.
Q: Does my cashback rewards expire?
No. Store credit does not expire as long as you have an active account. Accounts with no activity for 12 months will automatically be archived and unused store credit and rewards will be forfeited without compensation.
Disclaimer
Our system is setup to detect irregular and malicious behavior and if you try to game our system or cheat your way to rewards, your account will be terminated and access to content will be revoked, and there will be no compensation either. The rewards and wallet system might be removed, adapted or changed at anytime, and for any reason. We have the right to limit and remove your access to our rewards program when we detect malicious and abusive behavior on your part. Any monies earned as proceeds from your malicious behavior will be forfeited without compensation and Crows might file for reimbursement of losses suffered.
Troubleshooting
Q: I signed up for a membership but can’t find the content I unlocked.
There might be three reasons why you can’t see your unlocked content:
- You are not logged into your account on the Crows website. Please login to view your available content.
- You need a different membership or subscription service to unlock the content.
- You are on the wrong platform. Please visit Crows on Patreon. Login to your account and check your order history in your Patreon account for purchases made.
Q: How can I see what content I unlocked?
Login to your account. Visit the “My Account” page, there you will find your orders, download access, membership access and general account information.
Q: I bought a story. Where do I find my downloadable content?
Login to your account. Visit the “My Account” page, look for the “Downloads” tab, there you will find your available download access to the content.
Q: I’m reading a free story but now I’m asked to subscribe to a membership. I thought the story is free.
The free-to-read stories are free. However, to ensure that the right content hit your collection, Crows requires that you sign up for the membership to continue enjoying the free content on offer. The free-to-read membership is 100% free.
Q: I downloaded the ebook/audiobook but I lost my download. When I try to download it again I can’t. It’s says link expired/download limit reached. How can I re-download the content?
To prevent abuse of my downloadable content, downloads are limited to one (1) ebook and audiobook per unlocked story. Unfortunately, re-downloads are not possible. Please visit your “My Account” page and navigate to the “Downloads or Orders” tab, to view your limits and downloadable content.
